Anyway, glad you got everything worked out.

Rockwell, I'm sorry to hear you're still having issues. Have you had any more luck?

Heavy C, I'm not so sure I know more than you do! We all complement each other well, though, that's for sure!

Oh I got that already. Thanks though! Everything's up and running great. I'm loving 4.5

edit: 4.5 is unstable on my curve.

WTF!! i did a battery pull just now and it took extra long to start up. now my berry keeps rebooting on its own! it's restarted twice already, once in the middle of a call!! what gives?

wow. ok now it just rebooted right after it rebooted. didn't even load up all the way.. it's not giving error codes or anything. it just turns off with that red LED then restarts. all i did before this started happening was check my email using the new http feature. then the (1) email icon got stuck at the banner so i thought i'd pull the battery. now it's giving me this crap.. i'm about ready to wipe this thing and reinstall the older OS unless one of you guys has a great idea.

Do you have a media card in your phone by chance?

yeah i have a 1gb. i wiped with JL_Cmd and reinstalling... i don't think this is going very well either.. it's erasing apps. isn't it supposed to be erased already? plus the phone is off, but DM says "device connected - PIN: none"

update: device is now reconnecting.. hopefully, it'll be alright this time. you guys think the reinstall will knock out the problem? i really don't want to have to go back to the old OS.

Are you taking the media card out during the upgrade?

Based on a lot of other things I've been reading on the board, I'd suggest you copy everything off your card onto your PC, reformat the card in the device with the new OS and then reload the card.

    Rockwell!! Welcome back!

That seems to be a common theme with this new OS, the sounds being at a lower volume. Hopefully that'll be resolved with ensuing releases.

Seems to be prevalent with media cards and/or the 8320.

I'm running the newest version .52, and love it. It was the easiest upgrade I've had so far. I was nervous, but so tired of the memory leaks on .18. Will update if there are any further issues!
