    T-Mo Visual Voicemail

Has anyone running 5.0 OS tried activating Visual Voicemail? I just tried it and it gave me the option to sign up on my browser but since my bill is overdue it stated I could not at this time. Can someone try it to see if it activates properly.

I don't believe TMobile has set it up for blackberry service yet. If someone finds out something different please let me know!

Until there is a service book for it, it will not work.

Well, if you are like me, and keep voice mails forever, it's nice to browse through the list without having to listen to every single message.

Yes but this thread is about "visual voicemail" specificlly from tmo. So that is like comparing apples and oranges they are different altogether.

1 google voice is kewl but its a private beta not evryone can get it yet.
2 assuming that tmo activates the visual voice mail they will most likely have the option to go thru them without listening to all messages
3 youmail requires a lot of setup including completely bypassing tmos voicemail, now I'm not sure about this but from what it appears if u are out of a services area tmo sends it to ur the voicemail that comes with the phone ( again if this is not correct plz let me know ) which would be an extra hassel to retrieve it.
And if u want to do more than 1 number transcribing youmail charges and extra monthly fee.

I was able to set up YouMail in a rather short order. It's a very easy step by step process. I've never had messages go to the old box, I think that's technically impossible. Since you are telling TMO where to forward the number to.

So to say youmail requires a lot of set up is a stretch. Especially a forum user.

I'd suggest testing it out. Like I said, it's free if you don't care if your messages are transcribed or not. And I'm pretty sure TMO doesn't offer the transcribing at all.

Starting to sound like you have an axe to grind with YouMail... Could be off base, but that's what it sounds like.

youmail is not hard to set up, i think what remy was saying is that you have to pay to get your voicemail transcribed- since that is what most of us like-
