Switching to GPRS during calls
I recently switched from T-Mobile to AT&T and am using my unlocked 8320 (OS 126.96.36.199). Overall it's working fine, but I've noticed that many times when I hang up after a call, it says GPRS instead of EDGE. A short while later it usually reverts back to EDGE. Is this normal?? I never noticed such behavior when I was with T-Mobile.
Also, while I've only had AT&T for a few days, several times when calling from home, it dies with a "Call failed." AT&T hasn't been very helpful because I'm not using an AT&T branded phone. I don't know if this has anything to do with the EDGE/GPRS issue - just thought I'd mention it. Maybe it's tower issues unrelated to this.
But in any case, I have good service - both home and work - 3+ bars. And I've done the usual stuff - battery pull, reseating SIM card, etc. Is there anything else I could do? Only other things I could think of are to update the OS and go to the store and see if they're willing to swap the SIM card.
I would update the os.... Maybe use an AT&T specific update? Or try a new bb.

Thanks. AT&T has the .110, right? Would I still need to delete the vendor.xml file since my BB is still T-Mobile branded?
Yes u would
