What's the big deal with switching to Optus OS? Is there that much of a difference? Are there new features?

I read threads about people changing over, but I can never understand why.

    Thanks, th3gh05t

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ More features and bug fixes are the biggest reason. Also new unlockable themes.

What new unlockable themes? Besides the ones that you can unlock on ATT OS? Do you have any screenshots if they are different?

    Re: Switching OS

i haven't heard anything about new themes, but i have found my bb runs much better in general when using the Optus OS...no missing messages, andno calender issues..

and abra, you must have just gotten a new rep, resending services books is one of the first things they're supposed to do ...it's half why the books are there...

now i wanna clarify something...i erased my MMS services books,
THEN WIPED THE CURVE THRU SECURITY SETTINGS
before letting them resend the service books...that way i didn't atomatically re pick up the same flawed book..a small but important step...you may wanna try it...

Yes, I have a BB data plan. pilotgeg, sorry you're having so many problems with the lame ATT reps

Optus is better all the way around, resolves calendar issues, the unlocked themes is obtained by adding a modded .alx file which is available in the thread posted by zipped stickied at the top of the 8300 forum. I also have this file available. But if you are having this many issues, the recommendation of going back to 02 and perhaps it being a device issue might be something you want to try, however are you within your 30 day return?

Somehow, I don't think it's a device issue though. I think you are just getting a lame ATT rep.
