Switching Applications

This might be something that I'm just overlooking but does anyone know if there is a shortcut key or some easy way to show what applications are running and switch to the one you want.

For example if I am using the browser but have Slacker Radio running in the background i'd like to be able to just push something that shows what is running and switch to it instead of having to minimize (for lack of a better word) the browser and go navigating thru the menu / download folder or whereever the program may be to access it again.

Left shift key and return button (right of track ball). Works like alt + tab on your PC.

Normally I just hit the menu key and select "switch applications". It shows every app running in the background and any you didn't close completely out of.
