switch from 4gb to 8gb card

i am filling up the 4gb card quickly, music and photos, more music than anything. I am thinking of moving up to an 8gb card. two questions strackers:
1> is there going to be a speed difference when in use? i see some cards by scan disk that are 8gb but some claim to be faster?

2> what is going to be my most simple or best way to transfer what i already have on the 4gb card onto the 8gb card?

    Thanks all.....

dilipc i saw this page before but not sure how it tells me it compares in speed of operation compared to 4gb. Maybe someone out there has tried it yet?
Also looking for advice on transfering the data already on the 4gb card to the 8gb card. Thanks dilipc>

I have installed a 8gb SanDisk that I bought off ebay.

    331 MB file (430_b023_multilanguage.exe)

    25 seconds to transfer over.

Plug up BB as mass storage. Pull everything off card. Then put 8GB card as mass storage and transfer all back to BB kinda roundabout but hey, effective. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

What he said! It's a manual transfer.

Good protocol to format new card w/device prior to any transfer. this will eliminate any future data/storage issues.

i have the 8gb card and its great, you can use the roxio media manager or use a card adapter with usb and transfer files that way, i am waiting for 32gb to come out this yr, i think the bb tech told me that the 8330 can see 32gb with micro sd card.
