just go this curve and i am trying to sync my dag on contacts but ... BlackBerry Curve forum

    just go this curve and i am trying to sync my dag on contacts but i cant! i have done the the old bb xfer to new bb xfer and pics from my old bb go through but not the contacts. i managed to take out the numbers and export it to outlook but importing it to my curve is such a pain. i continue to get this error message:

    "SYnchronizaiton is unnavailable for :
    address book

    because the application is configured for wireless synchronization
    desktop synchronization for the above application wil be disabled"

    it then tells to me to check the help section. its gotten me no where and before i posted this link i looked at your sticky on how to do this but still no luck

    please help

    Is it activated on a BES server (connected to your corporate email account)? You can Click on your calendar on your device and select option. In the options turn off wireless sync. You can do the same thing with your contacts, messages, tasks and memos.

    Are you trying to sync using your desktop manager?

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~sugar you nailed it. I've been there and simply turning off the wireless sync took care of it.

    yes i am using destok manager and i turned it off but i stillg et the same issue

    Did you have a BlackBerry before getting the curve? Maybe you could put your SIM card in the old device and save the contacts to it and then put it in your new device. Not sure if that would work or not... Also not a permanate fix but a work around.

    You are connected to a BES? Are the contacts in your corporate email account (Outlook, Lotus Notesn etc.)? If so they should have imported over with the enterprose activation so if that is the case and they didn't come through call your company IT department.

    I had the same problem---wireless sync with a BES---but the BB transfer via desktop manager worked for me.

    Galandrius, Welcome to PinStack.

    Could your BES Admin have blocked the ability to turn off syncing to your Desktop.? Is the Desktop that you are trying to sync with connected to the email server that the BES user?

    Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.
