    Streaming internet radio

    Hi I got another question.

I was trying to stream internet radio using my 8300. The website is www"dot"thebeat"dot"com and there is a "Listen Live" button which brings up a javascript pop-up that plays the music. The problem is the I get to the part with the pop-up but no music ever plays. I was wondering if the 8300 is able to run the java applet media programs that stream music?

If someone gets a chance to try it out as well and let me know if it would work, that would be a huge help.

    Thanks

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~well I don't know if the 8300 is capable of that but you might be able to listen through a program like MFplayer...then you can get the URL and add that...mfplayer is for the pearl but I'm sure there is something similar to it for the 8300...

    Hope that helps a little

MFradio works on my curve as you have described. The browser won't play the "listen now" links on a website. Just a limitation of the browser, but if you can get the link of the audio stream MFradio may be able to grab it. It plays MP3 streams.

Has anyone tried to stream "Sirius" radio on their Curve? I heard you can do it on Iphone, but have no inclination to purchase one.

I don't believe that you can do this as of yet. I did hear that there is something either plan wise or something that would require a monthly fee to do this. Let me see if I can find the thread with that info.

I used to stream Japan-a-Radio and some comedy channels to my Treo with Pocket-Tunes and Winamp all the time. Also trying to figure out how to do that with my Curve.

thanks for the link for mfplayer...i have a question about streaming the radio. can u enable ur bluetooth headset (mono) and have the music/radio play thru the bluetooth headset just like u can listen to ur mp3s on the BT headset with the tweak posted on these forums?

also, are there a list of streaming links that i can look up? the mfplayer comes with 3 stations and i think they r in russian or something lol...
