Lightbulb Strange issue with TMO 8320 and OS 4.5

    Hi All,

I just wanted to share and see how many of you have had the issue I am about to describe.

    Here goes...

Like I said in the subject, I have TMO 8320 Curve, I have OS 4.5.0.69. Don't ask! Actually I have 2 0f them, one for me, one for my wife. My phone works fine, her's however starts to reboot constantly when she is at work. When she is at home, the phone has no problems and doesn't reboot.

We think it is the bad ju-ju in her office. Any thoughts or ideas on the situation?

You can try reloading the OS. Make sure you do a backup and WIPE the BB before reloading. That should fix the problem. If not then you might have to go back to the previous OS you were running.

Thanks, did that when I originally loaded the OS. It was upgraded just this weekend. She went into work and as soon as she walked in, it started rebooting. No matter what she did. If she picked it up, the phone would reboot. The really strange part is that my phone; which is one character off as far as PIN's are concerned works just fine since I put .69 on. I just find it odded considering they were purchased at the same time.

Anyone else run into this issue?

P.S. - She even left the office for lunch and the phone didn't reboot, comes back and it starts rebooting again. Doesn't stop rebooting until she is half way home. Like i said, BAD Ju-Ju!!!!

Try this - Have your wife turn off WiFi on her phone while in the office. Some WIFI routers have been know to cause constant rebooting, perhaps that is the office issue....

I was going to mention, sounds like WiFi issues when she's in her office. Though then any Starbucks or even McD's nowadays would also cause her grief, no?

Now I did ask her if there were any WIFI networks near by but I don't remember the answer. I will try that, thanks for the input!!!

Same OS and same model mine re boots once in awhile. It's always when the signal tends to be on 1 bar on EDGE or GPRS while running multiple programs. It doesn't seem to handle multi tasking

Talked to the wife and it has not rebooted as much today with the wifi turned off.

Zim - I will ask her about EDGE/GPRS signal. Granted she did tell me she has great reception at her office. So I doubt this is the problem, but thanks for the feedback.
