    Strange Caller ID Issue

This is my second day with the 8300 and haven't found any problems with it so far... except that when I received a call today, the number appeared but not the name, but when I went to the Phone Log, the name appears. This happened a couple of times today. Has anyone else experienced an issue with this?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i'd suggest a hard reset & hopefully that will fix it, that's what happened with my 8800.

In case you do not know how to do this:
    1. Go to Call Log
    2. Press menu button and select Options
    3. Then select smart dialing.
    4. Enter your country code and the national number length.

    Re: Strange Caller ID Issue

I'm not sure if it's the smart dialing or not.

I saw this another time with someone else. Rcbjr mentioned that if you have your Password Protection set and Content Protection Enabled especially on your Address Book it will conflict with the Caller ID.

I'm not sure if this is your issue or not.

    Good Luck

Do you have Content Protection Enabled and Include Address Book set to Yes in your Options/Security Options/General Settings?

    Hope this helps
