Does slacker radio work using carrier signal or wifi or both? I'm having problems with slacker not working when I am in an area that does not have wifi access. Any one have any thoughts, advice or remedies? Thanks stackers!!

Slacker works with either. I stream it on my 8330 (data plan) AND my 8320 (no data plan) on wi-fi only.

Slacker works on all Verizon and Sprint and Bell and Telus and US Cellular and Alltel and etc. BlackBerry smartphones, NONE of which have wifi.

Just to clarify, Slacker also works on my T-Mobile 8320 with ONLY wi-fi and phone plan.

It works good on wi-fi and t-mobiles signal. Running the 8900 but when I run it on carrier I'm usually in town, so I get better reception.

Honestly, I've never tried it on AT&T's edge. It fairs well on wifi but is rock solid on 3G. I will have see how it fairs on edge (scary).

There's a free version with ads - it's very good. Try it out!
