    Question SIM Card Removal

I've gotta be missing something here because it seems next to impossible to remove my SIM card from my 8900. There's nothing there to grip but a VERY slippery plastic card and it's very hard to wedge out from the back. I even tried wedging a flathead screwdriver between the BB and SIM card in the back but no dice

I don't know what the inside of the 8900 looks like but be VERY careful with that screwdriver in there! I'd try something non-metallic and softer like plastic or, if you can, fingers.

You're not alone. My 8120 is the same way. It is very difficult to remove the SIM card. I have to put a lot of pressure on the card and the metal piece next to it to get it out.

Just to be clear, some devices (like the Curves) have a little clasp that secures the SIM card in place. It slides back and forth to lock and unlock, so don't try to force it! I believe it slides DOWN to unlock and up to lock.

I use a piece of scotch tape to pull the sim out.

If it's like the Bold's sim tray (simply sliding the sim card in) then here's how I get it out:

Place a finger nail gently under the sim card from the front, and lift a tiny bit. Place pressure on the top of the sim card with the thumb, and pull.

Yeah, the 8900's sim card slot is exactly like the Bold's. Your method works perfectly, thanks!

A piece of tape wont work on the 8900's sim card slot. Since you have to slide the card into a slot as opposed to just setting it in like in older devices. I've found that ssnxp's method works best out of all of those listed above.
