    Thumbs up SD Card?

i went through some of the threads in this forum and saw people using the 6gb card and there was talk of using a 4gb card. which one would be the best one to go with? obviously the more gigs, the better, but i just want to be sure that the phone will read the card correctly.

    thanks in advance.

    Re: SD Card?

i've heard/read of some having issues with the 6gb...

i will say this...i bought the 4gb, have barely 2gb on it, and it takes a little longer than i would want to load all the images up if i am going thru the card to say, send a pic or something...
it doesn't make the bb slower, but accessing the images harder the more you have on there

    Re: SD Card?

Im suning the "blackberry video creator " wich converts most videos to the right format to be used with the 8100 pearl and te 8800, I dont know for a fact if it works for the 8300 but apparently it does if you use the settings for the 8800, you would have to try it:

I have only converted one full movie (the bourne ultimatum) and it worked fine, it took about 300 mb, I have a 4gb micro sd card.
I would suggest at least 2 gb.

I went super cheap with the 1gb with hope that the 6gb problems would be resolved sooner or later. I just needed something to hold my candid pictures

    Re: SD Card?

I'm sure there will be a software update for it in the near future so the curve will suport the 6gb card with no problem. That was the same case with the blackberry pearl~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Re: SD Card?

What about for the Pearl? Will a 6GB work for it without any issues like the Curve? My Pearl is slow when trying to start music with my 2 GB. It works much faster in my SK3 though.

    Re: SD Card?

Ice heard reports the the pearl supports the 4gb on the TMobile .107. But when the pearls first came out it only supported a 1gb card. And then it supported the 2gb card after a software upgrade. I think the .64 software did that. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
