~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ even nokia n series has it probs, why not make sure tmo sends you a new unit rather than a refurb? I was having problems with a se unit of mine and my provider kept sending me refurb units (just phone and charger but still kept having probs) till finally I complained to the customer care department and they finally sent me a BNIB unit no more problems. As for Blackberry not being all its cut out to be, security-wise nothing tops a BB, and contrary to what other people say there is no "perfect" phone. Phone freaks like me and many others who use forums of this type are picky bastards and we like to tear phones apart(figuratively speaking),but love getting the newer gadgets flaws and all.

Not only, but I'll like to mod the phones I get to have the apps I want, and many other custom features, its a fetish and we all have it.

cs tells me they do not and cannot replace any bbs or pdas.only bb tech.can.and theve only sent me the bb shell(no battery, charger or nothing.went to an att store today, and they told me on their policy, they dont allow insurance on any phones(pda?smartphones) over 300.00 dollars.forget that. and they refuse to send me (tmo) a new curve whatsoever. lol im just about ready to go back to my sanyo m1 with sprint.had all the free games and apps on it.

It sounds more like you need to switch carriers as well as the BB. Tell CS that if they cannot resolve with a new BB that you will take your business to VZW or ATT instead. If you have been a good long term customer they should help resolve the issue quickly.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~lol now they say their hands are tied because of multiple exchanges, and they will transfer me to rim(again)still refuse to send me a new curve.this is number 4!"We can't transfer u to the cancelations dept.to help, because ur not with us long enough" point is,I should not have to go thru this at all.switching would be nice, but I don't have the funds to do so at the momment.tmobile has been the worst of any provider I've been with.

I don't know what they are on because I have had ELEVEN BlackBerry devices since 2003. They have never once told me they can't exchange any of the BB's I have had (I had that issue once with a SideKick but that's another rant for another post). And I have done exchanges over the phone and in store.

    Angel,

The problem you are describing seems related to voice dialing. Perhaps you are having a problem with the left convenience key. If you dont use VD try reassigning that key and see if the problem persists (or if something new "pops up".

Okay well here is the deal it sounds like you hit the voice dial button. Try changing your left button key from voice dial to something else.

In regards to refurbs. Here is the deal. Refurbs can be phones that have never been used but because they were opened they are refurb. Refurb doesn't mean that its bad at all. Refurb could also be someone purchased the phone walked out the store and then two seconds later come back in and return the phone. So having a refurb doesn't mean problems. If you are having a problem with the phone and its been the same problem something would probably tell me that this maybe a user error. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

also if you are switching data from one device to another everytime you get a replacement there could be corrupt data causing the issue. Try wiping the device and maybe just synchronizing the Calendar, contacts and address book from outlook or whatever program you use rather then restoring data....that is if you are restoring data.
