    Save Contacts to SIM?

Does anyone know how to save new contacts to the SIM card instead of or in addition to the phone?

I've had a new phone sent to me several times and I lose all the new contacts I've made every time since they only save to the actual phone.

    Thanks

Go into your address book. Then press menu>sim phone book> then press the menu again and add new contact.

You can also back up your data so when you switch blackberries you can just transfer the contacts that way

Just out of curiosity, why don't you just make a backup of your device before you take it back for replacement? The backup will save your device address book and can be restored in moments...

I think if you do the "add to sim card" option you have to do them one at a time.

yes... the add to sim card function is one at a time... and it can only register one phone number per name, plus the name will get truncated as well...

thats why i suggested doing the backup...

outlook sync will also work quite well, but the backup is easier...

A back up and restore is the way to go.

for sure... and you can also set it to only do a backup of the address book, so nothing else unnecessary gets backed up... but on the other hand, if yo u do a 3rd party app backup and a full database backup, when you restore the two on your replacement device, it'll be like you never switched devices in the first place...

If you do a backup to outlook just remember to put the pins in the note section they don't sync when I do it regularly then when you sync to new device the notes sync to other and just copy paste to the pin
