    Running processes / task manager?

Is there a way to view the running processes kind of like windows task manager, etc?
I know about the alt + back (esc) but that's just the switch applications thing.. I'm looking for something that shows how much memory each program is using, status, etc...

to see what all is running hold down the ALT key and hit Escape from the home screen. That will show a list of open applications. As for how much memory from each, not sure. To see a "status" you can either go under Options or from the home screen you can hit ALT + EACE on the suretype BB's, I think it's the same on the qwerty also.

ALT+Shift+h also will get you to the status screen easier than the ALT+EACE as the key spacing makes it more normal. And with dialing from homescreen off, the quick press of O will get you to the options screen directly (one of the default shortcuts).

IF you want to see how big your data base sizes are then you can to to

    Status>Menu>Database sizes.

But looking how much memory each app is using I don't think is a possiblity.

    Just the application switcher.

Are you having issues with your BB Brooke? Why do you ask?

You need the ingeneer mode on the phone to access the process list.
I think I saw that in the simulator too.

How do you turn processes off? For example, I do not have a Data Package but the Browser and BB Messenger show active. Can I turn these off since I cant even use them anyway?

unfortunately, they are part of the core OS. If you close them, they will auto-reopen like the phone does.

I do not get a "list" when I hit alt plus escape. I just get an application that is open and I have to manually close it and then re-do the alt plus escpape etc etc

hold the alt key down. The icons displayed are the open applications.

yeah sorry if that wasn't clear above, you have to hold the ALT key to see the list. If you just press them and let go it just does an app switch instead of list. While holding ALT you can scroll around to see the other items.
