    Rogers Retail Store?

excuse the "stupid" question if it is one... But could i just walk into a Rogers retail store in Windsor (30 minute drive) and pick up a 8900? Then drive back to the states and purchase an unlock code to use it on ATT?

Would the PIN have to be released by rogers too?

    Yeah you definitely can
But not a whole lot of stores will accept to sell you one outright if they have limited supplies.
Just make sure you go to a Corporate location.

The PIN will not need to be released. It was never registered.

Don't forget to stop by at the Windsor Casino. All winnings are tax free.

    Welcome to Canada

Ok so the border patrol on the US side might be taken aback by the fact that you travel to a foreign country for a cell phone. the agent at the booth i ended up at was truly stumped but was eventually ok with it and let me pass

all i have to say is i wishi made the trip last month this phone is Perfect. the size. the lock button on top alone made it worth it for me as i keep them in my pocket...

i would have just said that you went up to go to the casino and not even mentioned the phone..... the risk of duty on a 600 phone might be steep... who knows... and I seriously doubt they would check the carrier of the phone you were carrying

i checked the Duty schedule before making the trip. no duty.. also the little "million questions area" was SUPER packed. i didn't want to spend the whole day there.. they knew i was only there for 15 miuntes anyway... either way i'm digging phone. and glad i made the trip

yeah thanks for having combo movie rental / cell phone retail stores ( Rogers Plus ) . i had to walk out and look back at the sign on the door when i walked in and saw nothing but movies...

Now i can't sleep as i'm waiting for my unlock code from a place that says i'll have it in 1-12hrs ... (30minutes until it is past 12 hours.)
