OK, so I got that JVM message. Wiped it with JL Commander. Reloaded the device. IT said it was done loading. Then DM said that it had to close. Now the phone is plugged into the computer with a white screen and a rotating hourglas...HELP PLEASE!!!!

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I have heard on another thread that this is normal and you just have to wait it out.

One other person had to wait 45 minutes before his BB fully loaded.

    Patience grasshopper......

It could take up to 10 minutes for a BB to reboot completely after a wipe and reinstall. If it hasn't rebooted at that point, I personally will pull the battery and restart it one more time. If it doesn't do it the second time, I start all over.

Can I unplug the 8310 so I can start the manual backup on the 8300??

You should be able to. I now think I know why you had the issue earlier with the switch device wizard. Some of the information may not have liked going backwards from the 4.5 OS.
