    Ramble AIM auto log-off

    2nd post, i'm on a roll!

i find that if i'm not using my ramble AIM constantly (ie i leave my BB idle for say 2-3 minutes) it logs me off. I don't see it being logged off b/c my screen auto-turns off, but when i hit a button to bring back the BB screen, i see that i'm no longer signed onto Ramble. Anyone know a way around this, to stay logged on indefinitely until i manually log off? Or is there another IM program i should be using?

TIA. also, im absolutely lovin my bb! monthly charges are insanely high tho, and i reeeeally wish BB had made the Curve 3G =(

I'm just curious where to get this Ramble for AIM. I used BB Messenger for the first time the other day (loved it), and when I downloaded blackberry AIM it said my service provider doesn't support it. Do you have Cingular?

Ramble is buggy and you always get disconnected... it's always been like this. Try Jive-Talk www.beejive.com

I can't speak higher of JiveTalk. I use it to stay online 24/7 with 6 separate instant messenger accounts and is as reliable as any desktop client. Worth every penny.

I'm not sure if they have the AIM from Blackberry workin yet. But if you are an IM addict, I suggest you go for the best one out there which is Jivetalk for $19 (non transferable) it's worth every penny.

    On the other hand...

If your only gonna use your IM app once in a while, then just stick with Ramble, I must warn you.. its very unreliable, it will boot you off frequently and from what I heard their customer service is really bad.

    Hope that helps

Jive Talk is the way to go. I was in on the Beta testing for it. never had any trouble. lets me stay online 24/7. for $20 its a steal or for an extra $10 you never have to worry about getting it again when a 3G berry comes out in late '07

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~after having tested a half-dozen I'm clients, Jivetalk is the only one I recommend or even mention anymore.
