    Question Radio Interference from Curve?

Anyone else having a problem w/ radio interference from their Curve?

My wife and I just bought 'em this past weekend and noticed that the Curve is generating some radio interference that's being picked up by other devices. Whenever the Curve is transmitting, we get a rapid "da-da-da-da-da-da" type beep that's been picked up so far by our TV, our baby monitor, and our desktop speakers at work.

    Anyone else have this problem?

yea, everyone has the problem, the GPRS antenna interferes with all electro magnetic speakers, that's how I tell when my curve is about to ring.

You will get that noise when any GSM phone is close to an unsheilded speaker.

The main problem is the baby monitor. It's all the way across the room from the phone but we still get it.

YUP! Are you at&t? My old razr did it too and my friend has verizon had a razr too and his doesn't do it. Wondering if its something about at&t network. My curve does it with the computer, baby monitor, and phones.

Its not at&t - its just phones in general. I try moving it to a little different spot when it happens. I have found it happens a lot less with BBs that it has with other phones I have been around.

Yes, I get this noise too. It didn't happen with my old VZW LG phone. Oh well.

Does it here too! And it's not just GSM, my other phone from US Cellular (CDMA) does the same thing as my 8700 as far as the annoying "da da da da" thing when too close to a radio or my computer.

its all cell phones. the "radio" on the phone causes magnetic interference. since all speakers use magnets...you get that interference. Working in an at&t store...we cant have the radio on...

    ...ever
Cingular is now the new at&t
