    Profiles Shortcut

On the Pearl, I was able to switch between Loud and Vibrate profiles by holding down the # button.

Is there such a shortcut on the Curve?

I just pressed the # button from the home screen and it said: "Assign a speed dial entry to the Q key?", so I tried with Alt and Caps but no luck.

Go to your phone app. Go to options. Go to general options. Scroll down to dial form home screen. Change option to NO. Save and go back to your home screen. Now press the F key and there are your profile options. You also chave shortcuts to messages M, address book A, claculator L, browser B, media net W, compose C, blackberry messenger N, memo pad D, tasks T, options O, help H, keypad lock K, saved V, and search S. I love these shortcuts. Hope this helps.

    Re: Profiles Shortcut

Thank you very much. I started using this on the 8700 and really missed it on the Pearl. It allowed me to really utilize the zen themes. I could put the apps I frequently used on my homescreen and still get to other options much quicker. I love it!

I've been using the shortcuts more and more... love that i can still have speed dials assigned to those same keys... just holding it key down longer activates the speed dial...

Trust level points coming ur way

Yeah these shortcuts have been very helpful for me, but it is not the same as being able to hold down the # key on the Pearl -- I really miss that. I go back and forth between vibrate and normal several times a day.

Thanks a lot. Glad it helped out. Its been good to me. Now I just need finger out how fix the os so we can assign the keys to whatever app we would like. That would be awesome. Any developers out there, I hope you are listening. LOL
