    Problem with SMS messages dissapearing...

Greetings everyone...I am fairly new here, and have had my BB Curve 8330 for almost a year. Lately I have had my SMS text messages automatically earase overnight! Leaving just the saved ones. This has happened to me twice now since the begining of July, I have never had this happen to me before then. Also it seems to be ONLY the SMS text messages being erased, not email or any other type. Has anyone had or experienced this problem before? I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks.

How much device memory do you have? Look in Options, Status, File Free and reply with what that says.

You may want to dump old messages, themes and applications you don't use or need anymore. That's very low memory. I try to keep my Pearl's memory at 10 MB or more.

And move your music, pics, etc to a memory card if you haven't done so already. Clear out your device event log by holding the ALT key and typing L G L G. This will bring up a memory log of all events on your BB. Clearing your browser cache, cookies, history, memory and pushed content will clear up more space. Also the memory cleaner in Options, Security, Memory Cleaner helps.

Yes unfortunately. I didn't know it at the time but about 3 years ago I had a 7105t start doing the exact same thing your Curve is doing.

Just an fyi - this is not a problem, but what BB's are designed to do.

Mine has done that too! I'll be tracking this tread for a solution, thx for bringing it up. Good to know I'm not the only one...does it just randomly erase your call logs too???

    no messages!!!ahhhh!!!

    Hi,

How you all doing? Well I have the BlackBerry Bold and last nite I decided to go ahead and erase all my text messages. Well now after doing so now every time I get a text message it says no messages, but the little icon indicates that i do at the top. So i have to go to view folder>SMS box to receive my texts it really is annoying I just want it back to the way I had it.

    Someone please help!!!!
    AAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
