Problem: Caller ID not being sent

    Hey Guys--

I just got my new Blackberry Curve and I love it. The only issue I am having is that it does not send out my caller ID, even though under phone options and "restrict my identity" I have it set to "off" however, it still will not send out my caller id. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Re: Problem: Caller ID not being sent

Is it not being sent, or is NOTHING being sent? Probably can't tell!

Your Caller ID number is the Phone Number on your SIM. (I assume you're with either T-Mobile or Cingular/AT&T - see why it's helpful to fill in your info in your Profile!).

Anyway, if that's the case, go to ( Settings/Tools --> ) Options --> Advanced Options --> SIM. Scroll down to Phone Number, and Click the wheel/menu button and select Edit SIM Phone Number. Enter 1 and your 10 digit phone number (assuming you're in the US) and save.

Your number should now transmit your number to Caller ID - and also display as My Number in the Phone app.

If you don't have a SIM, fish around for something similar!
