problem backing up 8900
i am trying to back up my 8900 with desktop version 4.7 and my 8900 is on .133.
The back up process will start but an error pops up when the "auto text data version" get backed up. A window comes up with an error and I click ok and the back up stops.
I have tried a uninstall and reinstall for the desktop software and did a battery pull on the 8900. The upgrade process worked fine when i updated to .133.
Any help is appreciated.
Hmmm...i've had this happen with my 8320...i found that going to the "Advanced" option, where it brings up the databases...clearing the browser data cache and the phone call logs first, then doing the backup, seems to work...
Yeah syn92's answer is basically it.
Go into your browser. Press menu, options. Cache Properties. Then clear all three caches.
Now you can backup
Thank you both it worked. I have never had this issue before and i have had a BB for quite some time now. What causes this issue ?
I guess the backup process fails at finding the cache or something like that.
