    Pre-owned 8300: should I delete old service books?

    Advertisement

    I did a search, but didn't locate an answer to my question. I bought a used BB 8300, locked to AT&T. I'm waiting on an unlock code so I can use it with my T-Mobile account. My question is this:

    I'm assuming this unit was wiped by the previous owner; that's what he said he did, there was no personal information on the unit and when I turned it on, it took me through the setup. I noticed there is a browser icon and checked the service books - there are eight:
    MMS Transport [WPTCP]
    WAP2 BrowserConfig [BrowserCo...
    WAP2 Transport [WPTCP]
    Cingular MMS [WAP}
    MEdia Net WAP Transport [WAP]
    MEdia Net Browser [BrowserConfi...
    Wap Push Config [WAPPushConfi....
    MMS Client [MMS]

    Since I will not be using AT&T and will be using email and data with T-Mobile, on an existing Blackberry account, can I safely (or should I) delete these service books?

    I would do a complete wipe/reload of the OS but that's just me... to make sure NOTHING of the previous owner exists on it
    but yes delete those.. they will not help you on Tmobile
