    Playing music via bluetooth

I have a bb curve 8310 os version 4.5 and am trying to play music via my bluetooth headset. It is a stereo headset and has been paired with the phone. I can make calls and hear fine through both sides left and right but I cant figure out how to get the music to play through the headset. When I play songs with the media player it will only play on the phone. Thanks.

When you're in the Media Player, press the BB menu button and you should find an option to "Activate Headset".

I tried that and all it does is send the music to the earpiece on the phone.

You're sure it's an A2DP headset? What model/make is it?

^^^ Yes, it should bring up the model of your headset when asking if you want to activate.

no it actually says it right in the menu, I mean Activate SYEBHS11 is the actual option in the bb menu in media player

I have also seen activate bluetooth on a different OS version

It is a generic brand of sunglasses which has built in bluetooth stereo headphones. I'm not sure if they are A2DP compatable.

They must not be A2DP compatable. Is there another media player or hack or anything that you know of that will send them to a headset that isn't A2DP?

You might want to try xplayer, I have heard people have gotten regular non a2dp devices to work on it (I personally have not tried it)

What are the actual options you are getting in your media player. And first off, did you make your device paired and "trusted"

I tried the xplayer and it worked. The audio quality isn't really good though. The headset I have must not be A2DP compatable. Guess I need to invest in an updated headset. Thanks for the help.
