Currently I'm using Testors Lacquer. It's very thick though, only thing I don't like about it. This bezel was stock BLACK though, bought from Cnn.cn

The bezel is the chrome/silverish part around the phone. Changing it is purely personal preference

Looks great!! I, too, get nervous about moving the contacts/screen but when my current bezel gets scratched I'll probably give it a try. Thanks for the pictures and directions!

Yea, you have to be very gentle but firm at the same time to get them off. It's a mix of patience and luck.. I tore a little piece too, so no worries!

hi, gunna change my bezel like you just waiting on cnn to deliver it, great post i would have messed up big time if i would have not read this (i still might) why dont cnn send the bezel with the contacts already on!! would make it a breeze if they did, what sort of knife did you use? if i warmed the contacts up slighty with a hairdryer (obviously without frying them on a ridiculous heat) would this make them easier to get them off? thanks!

I just used my pocket knife (Kershaw), but I recommend an exacto or something else very small.

Heating the glue on the contacts may help a bit, that's what we used to do at work. We had a little heater and it worked well, but I did a few swaps and never used heat on my 8900.

    Goodluck! And WELCOME!
