I've been waiting for Sprint to get this phone for a year. I hope they release this model way before June.

Just returned my 8830 to Verizon after two weeks. I'll stick with my 7130 until this comes out, which I too hope will be earlier than June.

    Fingers crossed!

other then a camera, is there a real difference with the 8830 and the soon to be 8330? I was hoping the 8330 would have WiFi, but it doesn't.

Perhaps a 3.5mm headphone jack, external microSD slot, & better media player? The Curve is a more consumer-orientated unit than the 8800-series so all of this may make sense.

I myself was hoping the 8330 would have GSM on 900 & 1800 MHz like the 8830 as it seems like 3G is going to take forever in the US & it would be nice to have something faster than EDGE for my North American use. Does anyone know if the 8330 really will not have the GSM radio for 900/1800 regions?

in defense of sprint, yes they have their problems.

but when it comes to pricing, you CANNOT get a better deal with any other carrier.

And sprint even gives discounts and does cool things for valued customers

    for example

I had a phone i didnt like, it was three months old, they let me exchange it full price for another one,.

plus where else can you get 15 dollar unlimited data for smartphones?? nowhere

They just need help with customer service. besides that they blow other carriers out of the water with call clarity

att sounds like yours in a tin box
and att was the first one to cave to bushes call eavsdropping. damn republicans.

If they release more phones with the function, but not if its only on the 8330.... Still really cool
it's always greener with the other carrier...

If Sprint is still in existence, T-mobile UK will buy them out.

I spoke to a good friend today that works in the cell business. Rumor has it within the industry that Sprint will fold before mid summer for what that's worth. They lost more money last quarter then their net worth. Sorry to be the one sharing this with you all but thought it was worth mentioning

I said the same exact thing. I had sprint years ago, and from memory, Sprint was leaps and bounds ahead of TMO in coverage in my area. The unlimited plans sealed it though!
