Good idea, that would be what would make me worry, I worked in a custom Harley paint shop for about 5 years, and let me tell you.....painting any plastic parts always bugged me out. I have a quad (ATV) that I would like to paint the plastics, but....I'm chicken!

Yeah. I mean I figure worse comes to worse I can just buy a new housing for 29.99 off of cnn.cn so it's not really a big deal. I mean my paint was all chipped on my 8300 anyways so I figured it was time to do something.

My question now is how many layers of the clear coat do I put on and how long do I wait between putting each additional layer on? I put a clear coat on at 6pm est. It says it dries in 1-3 hours. Do I wait an hour or something?

I'm not sure I would be much help, I mean when painting a harley... we didn't wait... all the coats went on at once for the clear.

well I came across one problem. Everything came out painted good, but when I brought it inside from outside I thought it was dry so I touched the back battery cover and made a smudge and now I can't get it out. So I have to deal with it. I guess I could just sand the whole thing down and repaint it if that's what I really desire, but will try to get pics within the next few days

Yeah I did already clear coat it. It's not that noticeable. It's still a little tacky this morning. I don't know whether I should put a hair dryer to it or another clear coat.

Have patience, did you let the previous costs really fully dry? And is there a lot of moisture in. The air where you are painting it? Both could cause it to have problems drying

Yeah it didn't come out that well. There's all black on the screen now. I really messed this up. I just had to buy a new phone purchased a Red 8310 instead. Selling this one to my buddy for 50.00 so he can have his fun with it.

I was really looking forward to seeing it as I have been toying with the idea of being a case and painting it black too.....but I dont have the tools right now, and I am sure it takes a while to get a case from overseas too..
