Paint coming off of a button on my curve?

Anyone having an issue with the 5/D button on their curve? I didnt notice it until today, but it seems like the paint or whatever is on the buttons seems to be coming off. It is right around where the little raised bump is that indicates that you are on the number 5. I didn't notice it until today so I am thinking that it is starting to wear off already.

I havent even had my curve for a month yet, and this is happening already? I am very shocked that this would happen so quickly.

    Is anyone else noticing this?

I'm sorry I don't know if you are a guy or a girl. If a girl do you have long or sharp nails that are scratching it? I have medium length nails and I try to be very careful with that little raised bump. Sounds funny but I don't want to wear it off.

But the OP is talking about the keys Billy and the BSE doesn't cover these. You're right though the BSE covers the rest of the Curve and protects it perfectly, just not the keys.

That happened to my pearl. The bump on the #5 is like a little white dot now. Nothing I can't live with though. It doesn't look bad.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I am somewhat worried about this happening on my Curve. I guess a new keypad could always be purchased if necessary and can probably be replaced by the user, although I would think this should be warranteed.

Re: Paint coming off of a button on my curve?

I am male and have no fingernails that would be scratching around that area. I just noticed it last night. It isn't that big of a deal, but being that I have only had the Curve for about month, I am wondering about the durability of the keys over the course of the next year or two.

I know that the keyboard can be replaced, but I would think that RIM would test these to be pretty durable and long lasting for at least a two year period.

I wonder if a black permanent marker would curb any future peeling of the paint.
