Anyone else having issues with their trackball lighting up after upgrading?? it's happened to me with my pearl and now my 8310.
I switched from whatever the ATT OS is to the 126.96.36.199 and the damn thing won't light up anymore, and I still have an email address that won't send emails. I can receive fine, yet when i send they just don't ever get to where they're supposed to go.
I was getting a javalang.nullpointer exception before, so i figured if i upgraded it would fix that error and i wouldn't have to use jlcommander. i've deleted the email addy, re-added it with a reboot inbetween, then re-register and re-send service books, and nada.
alex, on the email issue, do you get a 'activation' email to your bb when you add it on your BIS account?
also, when adding it on your BIS account, do you get the confirmation that the new email was added?
i've only seen this before when using outlook. i had to change my smtp settings to another port...
Yes to both of your questions, when i add the addy it says it was added successfully, and i get the activation email.
this stupid thing is p-ing me off, Cherri!! arggg
how do i change the smtp settings? i'm new to the curve experience!
Mud - what is the email domain (please dont post your email address) that is giving you issues (@???.???) and is it POP or IMAP?
How many other, working email accounts are on the device?
You might try just deleting the service books for the account and resending....just in case!
it's exchange, smtp, if i'm not mistaken. i'd rather not give out the domain here (i'll tell you in a pm), it's our company email. ppl could still lookup our website and i don't want to be responsible for some goofball who has some bright ideas, if you know what i mean.
there's a personal pop email account on there, sbcglobal.net, and it works fine.
