Question OS Update Uh Oh... UnCaught Exception

Need a lil help family -

Finally took the nose dive to a new OS even though I absolutely loved my set up with the AT&T update from soon after launch date... went with the ever popular Optus OS... problem is, now upon any reboot or soft reset I get an Error - - Uncaught Exception: Application net.rim.bb.messenger.app (142) is not responding; process terminating - [sometimes the 142 is an 87] -

Anybody have any insights into what the problem is and what my quick fix should/could be - I followed the typical upgrade steps (even closely followed Cizake's steps actually) - most things seem to be running fine just nervous about this error...

Thanks sooo much in advance -

Have you tried removing the bb messenger and then reinstalling it? If that doesn't work, personally, I would do a wipe and start all over

Hey Stace - I did try that b4 posting... that's when I noticed the variance in the number (142 vs 87) - Maybe I'll give it another wipe- was just hoping someone had seen this b4 - - - what's even more odd is that BB Msgr works without issue???

By the way... Nice new pic there

The jlcmdr wipe, cleans it totally... The regular wipe, you can get to from the options, then security, then general options, then bb button, wipe handheld. It doesn't go as deep as the jlcmder

What does "doesn't go as deep mean"? Should this be done routinely just like restarting a PC to keep it running smoothly? I'm a noob and just looking for tips to keep the pearl running good

    Re: OS Update Uh Oh...

I did the plain old wipe as JL Cmdr has been a villian to my super hero story the last couple of weeks (Screenshot related tangent... sorry)

Things seems to be in order now... another wipe and restore seems to have corrected whatever goofiness was goin on... Thx as usual Wonder Woman - Between you and Cherri I don't know where I'd be...

LOST on ABC I guess... ha

    Re: OS Update Uh Oh...

Downlowd the JL Cmdr (.exe) file from other threads in this forum... a search will easily find the link - after it is installed access JL with a double click and it will appear on your desktop - one of the options (i think at the bottom, maybe *) is wipe... Just hit 8 and follow on screen prompts
