Hey Sam there are a lot of things you can remove if you dont use them, ie, i dont have a setup wizard icon, nor vad, that will free up some memory....

I didn't care for it. I loaded it on my Curve today and found some problems that I didn't like. First off, I had to remove far more applications than I had on the 4.5os. Second, the upgrade completely removed my BBM5.0 from my phone including the contacts I had saved in the application. Once I redownloaded BBM5.0, it wouldn't allow me to use it because it took up too much space. The other problem I noticed with the upgrade was that the few themes that I did have left on my phone were altered. For example, the background on a couple of my themes was replaced with a different one. After all this headache, I replaced the 4.5os and have all of my applications back and contacts as well.

that is feature still not ready to be used, it basically allows web pages to save gear on your browser for a fast browsing speed, same as you do on your computer browser, check this for a more in deep info about gears for pc browsing

    Thanks for the info elmer

Memory update...down to 11,996,385 bytes....I feel like I'm back in my Pearl days with needing twice daily reboots to stay out of trouble...and being obsessed with checking it constantly.

I will need to go into the java folder and remove some .cods later tonight....try to beef up the memory a bit.

I really like the changes, most of my apps work and other than the slowly disappearing memory, I have had no troubles with this OS. I don't even miss BBM 5 that much, 4.7 BBM is still better than 4.5 was.

AzStar, Ealnv and Modern thanks for your throughly informative updates, I keep wondering if I want to pull the trigger.. I think I wait as I'm still happy with my setup which does use a lot of apps.. (Pandora, Youversion and so on) but again I may always have that late nite itch..

Ok, so I deleted windows live messender since I don't use it that much and its about 1mb in size. After the reboot, I have less file free than before lol

Just checked Lori's again after a full day of use and its at 29....Maybe it is just one app not getting along with the upgrade az.

On the Bold I've removed the setup wizard app, all IM apps except for BBM, voice recorder, all languages, VAD, one of the defaults themes, all vendor themes, tmo files, and many other things, gained a lot of MB of memory

I'm going to delete socialscope and see if that's the culprit. Its the only non native app I have used since my last reboot and I'm still dropping memory like mad.
