    Question Optus Upgrade Disabled MMS

    Hi,

I upgraded to Optus OS which resolved my calendar issue. However, I am no longer able to send MMS. I can send/receive SMS, but not MMS.

I removed battery and SIM and my curve and restarted, but that did not help.

    Can you help, please?

I think I am in the same boat.....

There's got a be a work around. I can't send MMS but I don't want to give up the ability to listen to my media over the bluetooth!

    Anyone have any ideas?

I wonder if we need the optus call center number for MMS.....

There is a way to fix without downgrading. There is a file in the service books I deleted that fixed my mms prob

i seem to be following you around stuff i replied after the last one

guys -- im not certain this will work, but it did for me (and stuff )

    options/advanced options/service books
scroll to mms client [mms] and click menu and delete it
then the next one should be mms transport [wptcp] -- delete it too

then log into BIS and resend service books (either from 'set up personal email' icon on the bb or from the pc)

if this does not fix it, you will prolly want to downgrade to the ATT os.

    Cherrichiodo,
Your suggestion actually works. I tried unsuccessfully to resend the service books few times. I finally found out that there are two crucial issues.
    • Resending service books doesn’t over-write existing service books so you have to DELETE the current MMS service books first.
    • If you don’t have BB plan, nothing will be sent.
Now I am using Opus OS and able to do everything. Opus fixed a calendar issue where appointments done on device were not making their way to Outlook.

    Thanks again,

Well, I finally went back to the ATT software, but just wasn't satisfied. So, I wiped my curve, THEN reinstalled the Optus software and BANG, everything seems to be working. I think wiping it is the key to getting your MMS to work again.

    Hope this helps.

My curve's battery performance has not been impacted by upgrading to Optus OS.

    Re: Optus Upgrade Disabled MMS

How is the MMS not working? Do you get some sort of error message? I'm on AT&T and I upgraded to the Optus OS, but I haven't tried to MMS anybody since (I hardly ever use MMS, but I do use it on occasion), so I wouldn't know whether or not it's still working. Would it hurt anything if I deleted and resent the service books anyway?
