Could be the Bluetooth itself has poor range, or you out of range from your phone.

When it comes to the "Bluetooth" static could mean a low battery, as for the phone, there should be no static cause it is Digital. I would (if you're covered) return it as a defective device.

Your profile doesn't state who your carrier is but if you are with T-mobile, go here: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ad.php?t=73061 and see if that answers any of your questions.

Mine does this sometimes as well. I have att, great reception, a Moto H700 and a Curve, sometimes it even makes a difference if its on opposite side of pants pocket.

Overall, no complaints though...what BT device do you have?

I agree. Sometimes, it depends on the bluetooth you have. I have a Motorola H700 as well. There are times when the recepient on the other end hears static and/or they think I'm extrememly far away from my phone. I've swapped a bluetooth claiming it was defective and it hasn't done that since. What bluetooth are you using? Have you dropped it? Accidentally gotten water and/or liquids on it? ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
