MMS Support would be included in a service book push!

If you are running ,119 you already have this on your phone. so if there's no MMS option on .119 for sprint then there is no MMS on this either.

I think we have all reached the agreement that MMS was a service book issue from sprint that was needed, not an OS issue.

point being drozek---though this is an official release if you are already running .119 then dont bother with this. Additionally, this is an OFFICIAL release, not a BETA release. Two different things.

.188 is the software pack version from RIM, which contains the .131 OS. (Says right on the page). I work for Sprint and we JUST got the e-mail announcing this, which included a point about having MMS support.. Still no MMS after an install, which I assume requires a Service Book push from us - I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.

If you go to the Sprint page on Blackberry.com the software package for the 8330 is 4.5.0.188, which contains the OS 4.5.0.131 amongst other things. The e-mail that I got at work TODAY stated that this new 4.5 release (the official release) contains MMS support. Was it wrong? Maybe. I don't know - I'm trying to get an answer on it from my RIM rep.

    *edit*

Just got word that once you install this OS and update your service books, the MMS should be there. It IS part of the .131 OS release .

Why is it in the first place that Sprint doesn't allow MMS?

I don't know, the real kick in the pants is that all of the other sprint devices (as far as I know) supports MMS.
I've heard all sorts of things ranging from, "they just haven't gotten around to seting it up on the sprint berries" to "they have to uverhaul their network to allow that amount of data to transfer"
    RKjunior, do you know why?

dumb question, has anyone re-sent their service book to see if an MMS app (or whatever) pops up?
