    I looked the blackberry.alx file when I was unlocking themes, and noticed it wasn't there either. I have tried loading the white Vodafone .cod file. Worth a try when I get home I guess.

    I have T-mob 8320 and was also looking to load this white/gray Vodafone theme... (Very slick) Has anyone found it/unlocked it on the Curve (USA) version?

    HERE's HOW TO GET THE VODAFONE WHITE THEME

    Copy the attached file to the
    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8320-v4.5.0.18_P2.7.0.43\Java"
    folder

    Then edit your blackberry.alx file and make sure that the vodafone line reads as below:

    <!-- Vodafone filesets -->
    <!-- 8300 and 8320: only Green -->
    <fileset series="8300" GPS="~True" Colour="True" Java="1.0">
    <files>
    net_rim_theme_120_green_320x240_b.cod
    </files>
    </fileset>
    <fileset series="8300" GPS="~True" Colour="True" Java="1.0">
    <files>
    net_rim_theme_120_today_320x240_b.cod
    </files>
    </fileset>

    Once you saved your blackberry.alx file, connect your phone to the PC and run desktop manager. It will prompt you to update your core OS. Go ahead and once the phone reboots, viola! you have vodafone white. ENJOY!!!!

    Many thanks Houndster - Was hoping there was a way! -

    Hey, I kinda asked this in another post/thread - and never really got a clear answer but in your directory example you call out for the /shared folder within my RIM folder... I do not have this! - I mean, I have my "Research in Motion" folder, but only shows a Apploader folder, BBBI drivers folder, Modem folder, RIMDevice folder and a USB drivers folder....

    I am the first to admit that I'm a total idiot when it comes to my BB and the desktop software and trying to get things to "work"... so - pardon my n00b ignorance.. but obviously I haven't a clue what I'm doing LOL - but any idea why this isn't present?? or what am I missing here?

    Thanks again for the instructions and file!

    Cheers

    First off you need to tell me what OS version you are using by going into options. This fix is only for the 4.5.0.18 version. If you are using 4.2.xx, then you need to search this forum for a sticky on unlocking vendor themes. But basically you get the Shared folder by installing the BB OS on your PC. It contains all the apps, et al for your device.

    This folder also may not show if you have hidden files set to not show on your computer. Try opening windows explorer and clicking the tools button, then select options, then select view. Scroll down to "Show hidden files and folder" and make sure it is selected.

    Now you should see all of the folders properly.
