I have an old Blackberry Curve 8310, it started acting this way recently, it powers on but displays nothing, did battery pulls a couple of time still doesn't show anything but the unit still does power on.. ACtually it sometimes has no backlight but working and sometimes doesn't show anythign at all.

What do I have to do to fix it? LCD replacement?

One way to tell is to determine if the Device is generating the display information or not. To do this you need to use one of the PC apps the can capture the screen shots while connected, such as JL_Cmder. If the screen shot shows a normal display then it's the LCD and a replacement will work. IF it doesn't then the Device may just need a software reinstall. Or it may be more seriously crippled.
