    Re: No Calender Reminders

    There is a knowledge base article on this at BlackBerry Technical Service Center. I don't have the article with me but the work around is the same as in KB13330. That one tells what to do and has links to the detail instructions for each step.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: No Calender Reminders

    I have two questions here:

    1. What exactly is a "service book?"

    2. The bugs/problems ATT users are having with their Curve, will they not be in the Tmo version since Tmo will have had time to work out the kinks?

    Re: No Calender Reminders

    A service book provides the blackberry with certain settings for an app that may vary from carrier to carrier.

    As to TMO and the Curve. RIM creates the handheld software for all the carriers. The carriers just specify what limitations and other conditions are placed in their customization. And I expect these to be fixed before the AT&T exclusive is up.

    I had same problem with Rogers Curve. The fix above, and as posted on RIM site, fixed it. Basically deleted all but one CICAL.

    Someone please give us all detailed directions as to how to do this. Where to go, how many files you show the CICAL, how many files you deleted, how many CICAL files remain.

    I only had one CICAL file that I could even delete.

    go to options, advanced,service books, highlight your CICAL emails, and delete. I use BIS and deleted ALL my CICALS. Only way to get it to work...and it does.

    I have only one CICAL file and its the "Desktop [CICAL]"

    I am only using BIS for my Yahoo mail account and I dont see anything else.

    EDIT ::315 PST::

    I didn't delete a single CICAL. I set up a test calendar appointment with reminder for 315PST (330 Event) and I got a reminder.

    EDIT ::330 PST::

    Reminder went off again for another test. Still no CICAL files deleted

    I wish I had that luck, but mine wouldn't work until I deleted all of my CICALs.

    Re: No Calender Reminders

    Mine were working fine until earlier today, when I pushed out service books from BIS. I am also connected to a BES. When I went into service books I noticed there was a CICAL service book for each of my 2 BIS accounts and also for the BES. Deleted all three, plugged back into my BES, downloaded the desktop one and it was good again.

    Just make sure you have only 1 CICAL service book.

    Update: Now some are working and some aren't. I spoke with Blackberry Support yesterday, and the rep was very quick to tell me, we basically will have to wait until AT&T comes out with a revision to the handheld software.

    Anyone else?

    Re: No Calender Reminders

    I deleted all of my CICAL's in my service book and my calendar is working again. Will there be any ill efects from me deleting them? I am not using an enterprise account. Thanks

    Re: No Calender Reminders

    I am very curious about this problem too. I had bought a TMP 8320 and within 2 days I had this issue. Spoke to customer service who said its within 14 days return period just exchange it for a new one at any store. So thats what I did. So far I have not had this issue with the new phone
