You can load BB Messenger using Desktop Manager. Have you tried setting up your email using the Blackberry Internet Services site for your carrier?

You can also find alot of your answers in the guides that are in my signature.

I would wipe the device with JL_Commander, Update the OS on it and start from scratch. If it was connected to a BES server then it mostly has a IT policy attached to it as well.

Check Options/Advanced Options/Applications to see if BB Messenger is installed. If you got it from someone else, you might as well do a clean wipe on it and start fresh.

You can try and register to your network again or you can send your service books from your BIS page.

Either that or it has a BES policy that is blocking such applications to show up.

well if you still have the sellers information they can call customer service and remove it from the "zero file" as long as they are the account holder to previous number that it was activated on.
