Whew! Just upgraded to .160 and all went very smooth. Did have to restore calendar as I read I might. All 3rd party apps and a few beta apps, including Empowers sms viewer all running well!
I was apprehensive about it not being the official VZW update, but removed the vendor file and 30 min later I'm posting a success story.
Thanks Pinstackers for the threads of info and giving me the confidence to blazing new trails in my bb world!

Well the speakerphone blast is gone but .160 has a lot of other bugs.

IMO, if your going to upgrade you should go with .131.

One thing I'm aware of is that your limited to an 8 gb sd card with .77. I also noticed when upgrading to .119 & .160 that I did gain a few megs of memory back. I haven't had any bugs with either upgrade.

I downloaded and installed the .160 and the only trouble i'm having is that my main email account will not delete "on mailbox and handheld". I've resent the service books about 10 times now in two days and done enough battery pulls to say screw it.

Today I downloaded .138 from Verizon which apparently was just added for download. It says updated 4-21-2009 but I'm here to tell ya - i checked Monday this week and it was still downloading .77 for me. Today .138 came down.

Thanks Chester, Verizon is now offering .138 for the 8330 (as of today it seems) so I've downloaded it and will stay happy with it until the Tour comes out in July.

Not seeing .138 there just .77 still. I'm running .160 anyways though.

    PLEASE FORGIVE ME HERE FRIENDS

Apparently i downloaded the 8830, not the 8330, software by mistake. Which explains why you're telling me .77 is up, & why it wasn't up Monday. I AM A BIG DUMMY. Please forgive me for wasting everyone's time!!
