Never lend your wifey your BlackBerry.

I loaned my wifey my BB as she had left hers in her works desk (clearly not as much of an addict as me).

I insisted to an obsessional point of she must put it in the holster when not in use and the fear in her eyes told me she was worried and so agreed.

Now when I get an email the blinking media player pauses my music. She insists she didn't touch anything however I feel rather she has sneak(ly) changed a setting to make sure my mind is destroyed from the inside.

Does anyone have any clue what buttons she has been pressing other than mine?

LOL! Sorry about your device woes. Does the media player pause until you restart it, or just momentarily?

Pauses completely. Everything else leaves it alone.

Might be a silly question, but have you tried the good ol' battery pull to see if that doesn't "reset" things for you?

check to make sure your device is not"playing an mp3" when you get an email. if your email tone is an mp3 it may switch to that mp3 when you get an email and not switch back to your other mp3 when it's done. a long shot but you might check it...

I have now done a Battery Pull. I really should have thought of that. Catside I am playing and email. but in the past it has never occurred.

Will feed back on whether the battery pull works.

Good luck. I'm sure your BB will recover.
I'm not so sure about you. Moral = don't lend your phone to anyone. Especially your wife...

It seems to be all sorted. Not one pause as yet.

Thanks all and all be it I have learnt my lesson I don't think I will be able to say no to wifey in the future.
