    No it is not complicated... You can use this:

    Backup the device via desktop manager >> close desktop manager >> run jl_cmder and choose restore to factory... Once it's done simply restore the backup

    im running 4.3 DTM, will I have to uninstall it, then reinstall it? or can I just install JL_Cmder and follow the instructions after I back it up on my current DTM?

    No need to uninstall desktop manager...Just jl_cmder and follow instructions i posted above in post #19...

    ok!!! I did the wipe after I did a backup-worked fine. Now I have the 507 error showing on my screen. Do I open the DTM and select restore now?

    Yes... 507 is no OS... You do have the handheld OS downloaded and installed on the PC right? If so just open DM and go...

    yes but do I hit restore or just DL the 4.5 from scratch again? Yes the new 4.5.0.55 is saved on my PC.

    Just open DM and it should prompt you to install.... If not, select Application Loader and away you go...
