Never tried BB Maps. Have been using TeleNav which is awesome, but costs $10 month for unlimited.
    Anybody know best free alternative?

This is by far the best free GPS app that I've came across. Turn by turn directions have been very accurate since I started using it a couple days ago.

If youre loading up a GPS app and all you get is a grid, sounds like you arent downloading the maps. Do you have a data plan? The phone is constantly downloading the maps each inch across the screen as you drive, so you would really need an unlimited data plan to use GPS software on your phone.

Amaze is a great app. I have used is as well as Nav4all. Amaze seems to be more accurate, and is easier to use as well as faster loading. Its available on the BB homepage under maps and travel.

I actually disagree with the majority on this one. I have used AmazeGPS, and prefer NAV4All more. Maybe it is just me though. Nav4All and Amaze are both free, so my suggestion is to download them both, and see which one you prefer.

Google maps is sweet accurate, and free. Satelite images I seen my house. Infospace find it is free also local biz look up, people finder, and more. I like both. You can add phone number and addy from within infospace app. I use google for directions, infospace is great for 411, yellow/white pages type features,
