    ok so i tried it at least another 4 times and it still says "unable to reconnect to device during a mulit-stage load operation."

    I guess i have one more option which is DL'ing that other program from the link everyone posted.... =( i guess my berry is unfixable!

    the second time i did...

    the third time i didn't

    Well you have to follow the steps exactly so technically, you've only made a true attempt twice. It was the 3rd or 4th time of following the steps verbatim before I got mine back up running. The steps must be followed word for word.
