    Question my 8gb doesnt work in my 8900 help please....

    hi i just got a 8900 yesterday from tmo. i tried to put a 8gb mirco sd card into my bb and it doesnt work. my os is 4.6.1.114(platform 4.2.0.76). can anyone help?

    Can you be more specific? When you say "you tried to put it in"----do you mean it does not fit or your 8900 won't recognize it. If you mean the latter, go to options>media card>depress the BB button>select format card. This allows the BB to format the card.....let us know what happens.

    it doesnt recognize the 8gb micro sd card =( im pretty sure i put it in the bb correctly

    does your pc recognize your mem card?
    When i say i have Bold family phones, I meant it, from the older to the younger, even the unborn ;)

    You may want to try a battery pull as that solves many issues. Is this a new 8gb card or one previously used? As ealvnv suggested, determine if your PC can recognize this card even to the extent of formatting it in your PC. You may also want to consider returning to the Tmobile location closest to you as there appears to be several possibilities: the card is not inserted properly, the card is bad or there is a problem with the 8900 in the recognition of your card. In any event, you would be at the proper location for a quick resolution of this issue. Keep us informed....

    And don't forget that if mass storage is enabled your phone will not have access to the card while connected to your PC...

    thank you guys for all the help...it turns out that i got a defective phone....and the sd card reader thing just wasnt working.......tmo gave me a new bb =D
