I was thinking of getting an Otterbox case since I do a lot of outdoorsy stuff that causes me to wrap my BB in a towel or socks to protect it. :d

There is a happy ending!! My new 8900 arrived at work today and is just about all set up. I couldnt do the device switch so I have been redownloading my apps. Luckily I had done a backup just a mo. ago so I had every thing else.

I had a similar incident with my 8320... but fortunately for me it was when the 8900 was coming out and that was my excuse to get it!! I love the 8900! Sorry you had to go through that with yours!

Do another thorough cleaning with alcohol and a TOOTHBRUSH, you want something strong to rub off the sticky stuff sometimes left over by liquids on a phones main board. Blow dry it and it should be fine.

Do that and it should power back on, make sure you clean the copper. Hint: It's ok to drown the parts in alcohol since alcohol dries almost instantly. I've done this on alot of phones, game systems that wouldn't turn on with good results.

    Let me know what happens.
