    Must Have

Hey all, long time pearl user, but I just got the curve 8320 today. What are some must have apps I can get?

Also, I am trying to get into my gmail and it keeps saying...

"This program requires a working data connection. Please check your signal strength and connection settings and then restart the application."

My signal strength is perfect. What should I do?

Not too familiar with the 8320, but go to your Manage Connections icon. Kind of sounds like you have something set wrong in there, perhaps WiFi only? Should be set to switch automatically between WiFi and UMA, I believe.

I would try to register you Hosting tables and try to resend service books. If that doesnt work, try a battery pull.

    Check here for some apps.

    Sarge,

You can set up to have your Gmail pushed to your device by setting up an account here. Your log in will also become your BlackBerry e-mail account. It is from within this web application that you will see an option for Service Books where you can send them to your device after setting up your e-mail accounts. If you go into the FAQ link in my signature, you'll find a thread on how to create/manage BIS e-mail accounts, which is what you'll be doing with that link I provided.

For registering, go to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table. Then press the BB menu button (to the left of the trackball) and you'll see an option for Register Now. Select that and it will register your device on the network.

    Hope this helps!

    Roger

Do you have a My T-Mobile account? How did you set up e-mails on your Pearl?

I had a service from my pearl that was "blocking" my internet access and they never took it off when I got my curve. (cant remember what the service was called.) So when I called Blackberry, they saw the problem and just unchecked the box. Thats it.

Another question. I am looking for a good 411 type program. So far I am looking at ether Pocket Express or Worldmate (the free options). Any suggestions?
