I just ordered my 8330 the other day and I was just curious as to which music player is the best. I was also wondering if there are any free ones that are any good?

There's a built-in media player on your device.

Yeah I know that. I have the 8130 right now, but to be quite honest with you I'm not crazy about the built-in player. I was just wondering if there are any other 3rd party media players that are worth getting or not.

the built in media player is very good. It does its job and does it well, and it organizes your music (and also displays the album cover). How much better can it get? All it does is play music..

Well, I used to have an iPod touch. Maybe that's why the media player doesn't seem too great to me.

I have been using a program called BerryTunes and I am loving it. I power walk 5 miles at least 3 times a week and I have a ton of radio stations and Podcasts that I can listen to. No matter what music you are in to, there is definitely a station there. The music is really great. I believe you can trial it. Take it out for a ride.

You can also try xplayer. The link is here so you can check it out:

If you want the radio stations you will have to pay for that though but the basic player is free I still believe.

The BlackBerry media player in 4.5 is much better , it features and EQ in addition to some other neat tweeks. I also have an 16gb Ipod Touch and I haven't touched it since I got my 8330 , that's how good the built in player is.I have tried BerryTunes and flipside etc and I still think the built in player is better.....

I have it and even though it does its job, the problem is that when you sync the music,it may take up to an hour for all of your music to show. I made a thread about that and I thought it was my card, but it was how the program makes the extra folders which delays all the music showing. I still perfer the old drag and drop method.

A few recommendations .. The builtin media player is is actually pretty decent .. Another one I can recommend is flipside which has a nice interface similar to itunes cover flow .. I'm big on internet radio, a nice free web service is moodio, lets you stream any internet radio station out there.
