    moving from pearl to curve

I'm upgrading to the curve after loving my pearl. I am finding it hard to go from sure type to a full qwerty but I'm a big boy and I'll manage. What kind of themes and other add ons do you recomend. I definitly want an Excel viewer but don't really want to pay for it. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful.

Check the downloads section under Biz & Professional. There is a free spreadsheet program that was just added called Gridmagic CE, which is compatible with Excel.

With a few minor cosmetic differences and the major SureType/QWERTY difference, there really isn't too much difference. A2DP support for bluetooth, standard headphone jack. Basic OS functions are almost identical.

Re: moving from pearl to curve

honestly, I would've held out if I were you. I don't quite understand why people transition away from a typing system they are comfortable with and like. I bought the pearl as my first blackberry because I liked the media and camera functions (along with it being on a gsm network) and left Verizon and my qwerty LG behind. I dealt with suretype but eventually was ready to throw it against the wall quite a few months down the line so I bought an 8700 (yes an older model bb) and put the 4.2 OS on it and loved it. I only left it for my Curve because I missed having a camera.

The pearl 2 is soon to be on every carrier. If you're still within your return period I'd say return your Curve and wait the little bit for the Pearl 2.

    Why ditch a good thing?

Because the curve is a superior device to the pearl I had a pearl, loved it and then ended up moving to a curve after flirting with a windoes mobile device when I switched carriers. The curve just does a lot more stuff and the standard headset jack is a definate plus. All in all I'd say stick with the curve ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I felt that getting the curve would be a good upgrade to the pearl. i haven't heard anything about the new pearl except that its gonna be 3G on ATT's network. i really don't care about data speed but i just want a good reception phone with email and texting.

I am currently a Pearl user and are thinking of changing to a curve but are unsure of the qwerty keys. Ive two Pearl so am thinking that if i can't get on with the Curve i van allways return.

Suretype is a great programs when your on the move.

Re: moving from pearl to curve

thats the only thing i'll miss is suretype. i can type a four line email in less then anyone can with a full qwerty. thats the only thing that i'm unsure about. i can keep the pearl and use that if i don't like the curve though.
